Title: Operations Assistant

Reports to: Office Manager
The Operations Assistant serves as the organization’s first point of contact. In addition to greeting and assisting all constituents of the organization, the Operations Assistant is responsible for maintaining lines of communication with clients, staff, and members of the Board of Directors. This individual provides ongoing and special project assistance across all departments and plays a critical role in maintaining client and donor records. Helping to ensure the smooth functioning of the office is a top priority for this role.
This position must demonstrate high quality communication skills, flexibility, and strong ability to work independently and as a team member.
Front office, clerical, and/or administrative experience necessary. Nonprofit experience is helpful. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software are essential for this role. Exceptional communication skills, time management, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team are considered fundamental to this position and will be more important during this unprecedented time of global pandemic. Each member of our staff is responsible for their own motivation, task maintenance, and accomplishments.
Currently, we are operating on a hybrid schedule in which most staff are working part-time in office and part-time remotely. This position will be expected to work in-office at least a few hours each week. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. $15/hour starting pay. Must love people and dogs.
