About the Role

Key Accountabilities:


  • Fundraising and Stewardship:

    • Responsible for Annual Fund, Third Party Events/Peer to Peer Management, and leading key in-house Events to meet annual development goals.


    • Measures of Success:

      • Assists in retaining, maintaining, and acquiring donors year over year as outlined in the Development Plan.

      • Generates reports, tracks donations, and documents interactions with constituents.

      • Gathers collateral material (photos/videos) for marketing and social media purposes.

      • Manages weekly donor acknowledgement schedule for timely engagement.

      • Prepares and executes Paws and Stripes annual events, including logistics, sponsorships, managing deliverables, and attending events.

      • Attends outreach events to assist the public or potential clients about Paws and Stripes, including evenings and weekends as needed.

      • Manages a portfolio of constituents to solicit and steward donations.


  • Coordination with Marketing and Communications:

    • Coordinates with marketing and communications contractors to meet organizational communication goals.


    • Measures of Success:

      • Collaborates to maintain the communications schedule and priorities for the year.

      • Adheres to branding standards in all communication.

      • Writes, edits, and coordinates copy and materials for contractors.

      • Assists with Pawsome Partner (Corporate) deliverables, ensuring schedule maintenance for selected benefits.


  • Data Management and Reporting:

    • Maintains accurate, timely, and detailed reports, ensuring successful mission collaboration across departments.


    • Measures of Success:

      • Utilizes key donor management platforms for reporting and tracking fundraising efforts.

      • Works with the Director of Development to execute annual development plan goals.

      • Collaborates across departments to support organizational activities and communication.

  • Other Duties:

    • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, email, etc.).

  • Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to problems.

  • Ability to establish controls and systems for quality work improvement.

  • Maintains professionalism and adheres to confidentiality standards.

  • Works independently and completes tasks efficiently.

  • Communicates effectively with team members, volunteers, donors, and constituents.

  • Skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data.

  • Skills in managing supplies and inventory control.


Desired Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

  • Some design or creative experience.

  • Experience with CRM software, database management, and standard office software (e.g., Bloomerang, Microsoft Office 365, Classy, Zapier, Wix, Canva, DocuSign).


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Work performed at a desk/computer screen for extended periods in a traditional office environment.

  • Active environment with exposure to various challenges, deadlines, and diverse populations.

  • Daily exposure to dogs in the office environment.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required.

  • Availability on weekends for events or training may be necessary.
