Thank You for 14 Years of Impact

Dear Supporter, Donor, and Friend,

I am reaching out because I have some big news that I would like to share with you.

I have served as the founder and Executive Director of Paws and Stripes for the entirety of its existence, and after many wild and rewarding years since 2010, I have decided the time has come for me to move on early this summer.

I have always known this day would come. After fourteen years, I can honestly say that Paws and Stripes is the strongest it has ever been. This is a positive change for both me and the organization. You can rest easy knowing that our services will not be altered, and the mission will not cease. It is important to understand that I am not choosing to leave because anything bad, but because everything is good.

I began this journey with the intention of building something that was independent of me, something meant to serve others meaningfully where other services could not. Today, Paws and Stripes is comprised of a passionate, professional, and diligent team of some of the best people I have had the privilege to work with. I will leave knowing that the people we serve, and our beloved donors are all in the best possible hands.

Our Board of Directors is deep in the work of finding a new Executive Director to take the helm. They have enlisted the aid of representatives from our Veteran Advisory Committee (made of clients and graduates), our staff, and our community in this important process.

My final Celebration of Heroes is just around the corner on Saturday April 27th, and I would like to personally invite you to join my team as we celebrate all that has been accomplished over the past year and secure the legacy of our mission for years to come.

It has been a great honor to serve as Executive Director of Paws and Stripes. My heart will always be with its amazing team, its many clients, and the beautiful community that has grown around it.

If you have any questions or would like to talk more about this coming change, please feel free to reach out. I hope to see you at this year's Celebration of Heroes!

With gratitude,

Lindsey Kay (she/her)

Founder/Executive Director
