Service
Dog
Program
How it works...
The Service Dog Program is for individuals who need support regarding their disability on a day-to-day basis. To qualify for this program, you must have at least three tasks in mind that a dog can do to directly address your disability. The program requires 3-4 weekly appointments for Paws related activities.
You will have a group class for you and your dog, a workshop class, individual sessions, as well as a mental health appointment at least two times a month. Outside of the specific times you will be coming for Paws appointments, you will also have to train for 1-2 hours a day on your own time, and make it out to locations 3-6 times a week depending on how far into your program you are. You will be asked to volunteer at least four hours a month, and complete a training log weekly that you will submit to your trainer.
